From Tech

We Quit
Our Day Jobs.
After nearly 20 years in the U.S., I moved back to India with a dream packed tighter than a burrito. I started out as an IIT Kanpur graduate and spent years building a solid corporate career, but food was always my real calling. Cooking, experimenting, and chasing bold, authentic flavours never felt like a hobby, it felt like home.
Tech paid well, sure, but it also drained the joy. With my family cheering me on, I finally took the leap and opened The Burrito Bros.
Why Indo-Mexican?
Spice
Mexico has Habanero. India has Bhut Jolokia. We believe heat is a flavor, not just a sensation.
Grain
Tortillas meet Sourdough techniques. The result? A Burrito That actually feels authentic.
Fresh
Cilantro, Lime, Onion. The holy trinity of freshness exists in both cultures. We celebrate it.
Local Roots, Global Taste.
We believe the best burritos start with the best ingredients. That's why we source 80% of our produce from farms within 50km of Pune.
Respect the Ingredient
We don't buy from factories. We buy from farmers. If it's not in season, it's not on the menu.
Why Mexican?
We didn’t pick Mexican food randomly. Living in the U.S., we fell in love with real Mexican food—fresh tortillas, bold flavors, and recipes made the right way.
When we moved back to India, we honestly couldn’t find that same experience here: authentic Mexican taste, done fresh, with the kind of quality that starts from the tortilla itself.
And when you think about it, Mexican cuisine just works for Indian taste buds. It’s flavorful, customizable, can go from mild to fiery, and doesn’t have to be unhealthy. That’s where the idea really clicked.
Why Koregaon Park?
Our first outlet is in Koregaon Park, Pune—because it felt like the perfect place to begin. It’s a neighborhood full of energy, great food lovers, and people who enjoy trying something new.
"It’s not just food, it’s a fiesta."
